A practical weekly catalog workflow

Review the difference before updating the store.

Supplier spreadsheets can change every week. Instead of sending the entire catalog back through an import, build a smaller, reviewed set of stock and regular-price updates.

01 / COMPARE

See the old and proposed values

Match supplier and store records by SKU. Compare mapped stock and regular-price columns, with source lines to help investigate a finding.

02 / INVESTIGATE

Hold uncertain matches

Duplicates, blank SKUs, invalid numbers and large price changes are flagged for review. A missing supplier SKU is always left unchanged.

03 / APPROVE

Export only selected changes

Pro prepares separate WooCommerce price and stock CSVs for eligible rows you select. The application leaves your original files and store untouched.

More control with Pro

Pricing rules that you can inspect.

Cost-based pricing

Calculate a proposed price from unit cost using a markup percentage or target gross margin, with an optional fixed addition.

Margin and price-change review

Hold rows below your chosen gross-margin minimum or above your price-change threshold. Calculations exclude shipping, tax and fees.

Stock buffers and profiles

Subtract a chosen safety quantity from supplier availability and save a reusable mapping profile containing column names and rules.

Merchant decisions remain yours. Review proposed values, keep a backup, and test a small import. The assistant prepares files; it does not automatically synchronize or update your store.
From download to a reviewed update

Four steps. A clear review trail.

  1. Open the application

Extract the ZIP and open index.html in a desktop browser. Start with the included sample files.

  2. Load and map

Choose supplier and store CSVs. Confirm SKU, stock, price and any optional cost or product-type columns.

  3. Compare and review

Inspect Changed, Review, Unchanged, Supplier only and Store only findings. Adjust your rules if needed.

  4. Approve and export

In Pro, select eligible changes and download the update files. Import separately through WooCommerce after a small test.

Built for spreadsheet-driven catalogs

Useful for stores and catalog teams.

For merchants receiving supplier stock and price files, freelancers handling product catalogs, and agencies reviewing regular supplier updates.

Pro supports existing WooCommerce simple products and individual variations with unique SKUs. Generic CSVs can also be compared when their identifiers and numeric columns are suitable.

Use the Product CSV Checker for broader file-readiness checks or the Migration Comparison Tool for a before-and-after catalog review.

Check your files before you buy

  • CSV UTF-8, TSV or delimited TXT; save Excel workbooks as CSV first.
  • One unique SKU per sellable item or variant.
  • Plain non-negative quantities and prices, with matching currency and tax basis.
  • Desktop browser with local file reading and Blob Web Worker support.
  • WooCommerce Type column and numeric managed stock for stock update exports.

Generic output is a changes report, not a Shopify, Hostinger or marketplace import template. This version does not connect to live stores or aggregate inventory across locations.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a WordPress plugin?

The customer application is standalone browser software. Download the ZIP, extract it and open index.html. Your store can be on WordPress, but the application does not need a WordPress installation to run.

Does it automatically update stock or prices?

No. It compares two files and prepares reviewed outputs. You control the separate import into WooCommerce. It does not require store passwords, API credentials or a supplier connection.

What happens to products missing from the supplier file?

They appear as Store only and stay unchanged. The assistant never treats an absent SKU as out of stock. Supplier-only SKUs are also excluded from updates.

Can it read Excel workbooks or PDFs?

This version accepts UTF-8 CSV, TSV and delimited TXT. Save an Excel workbook as CSV UTF-8 first. It does not extract PDFs or open XLS/XLSX files directly.

Can I use it for Shopify or other platforms?

You can compare suitable flat CSV data by SKU and export a Generic changes report. The import-ready templates in this version are for WooCommerce only. Generic reports must be adapted to your other platform’s required format before import.

Does the application send catalog data to Altrix Web?

No. The downloaded application processes the selected files locally. It includes no catalog upload, cloud comparison, analytics, remote libraries or online license check. Saved reports and profiles remain on your computer.

What is included in Pro, and does it expire?

Pro includes the version 1.0.0 application, assets, built-in sample files, license and user guide. There is no app expiry or subscription for this version. Store download access has the limits stated on the product page. Future versions and lifetime support are not promised.

How do I install a purchased copy?

Extract the ZIP and keep its assets folder next to index.html. Open the HTML file in a supported desktop browser and follow the included user guide. Do not upload the customer application ZIP through WordPress’s Plugins screen.

Make the next supplier update easier to review.

Start with the trial and your own sample files. When the workflow fits, use Pro to prepare the stock and price changes you approve.
