What does a shipping shortfall look like?
Imagine a customer orders one product priced at ₹500. Your supported shipping method collects ₹20, while your delivery-cost assumption is ₹70.

How the WooCommerce shipping audit works
Enter your delivery assumptions
Set an estimated delivery cost per parcel and the warning thresholds relevant to your products. Leave the cost blank when it is unknown; enter zero only when there is genuinely no delivery cost.
Select a shipping zone and quantity
Choose the zone you want to investigate and a quantity for each scenario. Each audit row represents one product at that quantity, modeled as one parcel in the selected zone.
Run the audit and inspect findings
Review configured charges, estimated costs, potential shortfalls and product warnings. Continue through the remaining catalog pages for a broader review.
Verify and decide what to change
Check flagged scenarios against your checkout, carrier terms and delivery records. Decide whether product data, a shipping offer or a cost assumption needs attention.
PRO COST MODELING
Make estimates reflect weight, volume and handling
The Pro model combines a base cost, billable weight multiplied by your rate, and a handling cost. Billable weight uses the larger of total product weight and dimensional weight calculated from total item volume and your divisor.
A lightweight but bulky product can therefore have a higher modeled cost than its physical weight alone suggests. Confirm the dimensional divisor with your carrier and remember that product volume is not the same as a packed parcel measurement.
Zone and shipping-class profiles let you apply different assumptions to different scenarios. These profiles belong to the audit plugin; they do not create or replace WooCommerce shipping methods.
Compare recorded costs for existing orders
Enter an order ID and the carrier or fulfilment cost in that order’s currency. Pro compares this recorded amount with the original shipping charge, excluding shipping tax, for supported processing and completed orders.
Delivery costs are entered manually. The plugin does not fetch carrier invoices. Comparisons use original shipping charges before refunds, so refunded orders require manual reconciliation.

Does the plugin change checkout shipping prices?
No. It audits existing settings and reports modeled findings. You remain responsible for any changes to WooCommerce shipping methods, product data or promotions.
Are estimated shortfalls actual financial losses?
No. Results use your assumptions and supported configured charges. A shortfall is an estimated shipping-cost gap, not proof of an order’s net loss or a complete profit calculation.
Can I use Pro without the Free plugin?
No. Pro is an add-on that extends the Free plugin. Keep WooCommerce, Shipping Profit Guard Free and Pro active to use the advanced cost models, CSV export and order comparisons.
Does the audit cover every shipping extension?
No. Unsupported formulas and third-party shipping methods need separate review. Live carrier rates, checkout filters, destination surcharges, mixed carts and automatic zone matching are not fully simulated.
Is there a limit on the Free catalog scan?
The audit processes 25 catalog entries per page without a total scan quota. Virtual products are skipped. Published simple products and variations are supported; other product types need separate review.
How do I install the Pro add-on?
Install and activate WooCommerce and the Free plugin first. Purchase Pro, download the ZIP from your order, then use Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin in WordPress. Activate Pro after installation.
